Review: The Art of Something Is Killing the Children

If you’re already a fan of Something Is Killing the Children, then The Art of Something Is Killing the Children will be right up your alley.

This artbook is packed with illustrations by various artists. While it’s a bit text-heavy for an artbook, I actually didn’t mind—it offers a nice behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series. There’s commentary from the creators, insights into the development process, and even early drafts, sketches, character designs, and storyboards that show how the story came to life.

While I didn’t care too much about the written commentary, I loved seeing all the behind-the-scenes material. The sketch work and concept art really helped me see how much thought and effort went into making the series.

I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys Something Is Killing the Children or follows any of the artists involved with the variant covers. And at the end of the book, there’s a note that says “To be continued…”—so hopefully we’ll see a second volume in the future. Fingers crossed!
